41 products, 10 collections, 15 pages and 27 blog posts were moved from Shopify to the client's own hosting, with a quote request flow in place of the cart. Old Shopify addresses redirect to the new pages and search titles were kept. Speed and image sizes were tuned for phones.
Case study
41 products and 27 posts moved from Shopify to its own server with nothing lost
The result
- products moved
- 41
- blog posts moved
- 27
- client rating on Bionluk
- 5.0
The problem
Avrosis sold software licences through a Shopify store and wanted to run the site on its own hosting, with WordPress. Products, posts and the old addresses in search results could not be lost, and products needed a quote request instead of a cart.
What we did
- We moved 41 products, 10 collections, 15 pages and 27 blog posts to a WordPress and WooCommerce site on the client's own hosting.
- We built a quote request flow in place of the cart; each request arrives by email with the product name.
- We redirected the old Shopify addresses to the new pages and kept the search titles.
- We tuned speed and image sizes for phones.
Thank you all wholeheartedly for your dedication, strong teamwork and solution-focused approach while moving our website to its new platform. I was very pleased that the project was completed smoothly in a short time. Looking forward to working together again on new projects!
