Data controller
The data controller for your personal data is Torpil Studio. For anything about this notice or your data you can reach us at contact@torpilstudio.com.
What data we process
- Contact form: your name, email address, subject, your budget range if you pick one and what you write in your message; also which page you sent the form from and which button on the site opened it.
- Free call booking: full name, email address, phone number (for phone and WhatsApp calls), the day, time and channel you pick, and any note you write.
- If you email us directly: your email address and the content of your message.
- If you message us on WhatsApp: your phone number, your WhatsApp display name and the content of your messages.
- When you visit the site: access logs kept by the hosting infrastructure (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser information).
- When you press the WhatsApp, Quote, Call or Email buttons on the site: which button, which page and whether you are on a phone or a computer (not who you are).
- If you allow it (Microsoft Clarity): where you click on a page, how far you scroll, mouse and touch movements, browser and device information, and a session recording made from these. What you type into forms is not recorded. Clarity stores its cookies (_clck, _clsk) in your browser for this.
- Your language choice: a cookie stored in your browser to remember the language you picked.
We do not ask for ID numbers, payment details or special categories of data such as health information. Please do not include them in your message.
Purposes and legal bases
- Replying to your request and preparing a quote: based on the explicit consent you give when sending the form and on steps directly related to entering into a contract (KVKK Art. 5/1 and 5/2-c).
- Keeping the site secure and preventing abuse (access logs): based on our legitimate interest (KVKK Art. 5/2-f).
- Remembering your language choice: needed for the site to work in the language you want.
- Measuring how much the site is visited (page views, which pages are read, which site a visitor came from, which buttons are pressed): without cookies and without tracking individuals, based on our legitimate interest (KVKK art. 5/2-f).
- Making the site easier to use (click and scroll recording with Microsoft Clarity): based only on the explicit consent you give in the cookie banner (KVKK Art. 5/1). You can withdraw it at any time via Cookie preferences in the footer.
We do not use your data for advertising or marketing and we do not sell it to anyone.
How we collect your data
We receive your data directly from you when you fill in the contact form, email us or message us on WhatsApp. Access logs, the language cookie and button clicks are created automatically while you use the site; the Clarity recording is made only if you allow it.
Who we share it with
We share your data only with the providers we use to run the site and our correspondence:
- Hostinger: hosting the site and its access logs.
- Resend: delivering the form message as an email.
- Google: hosting our mailbox and automatically summarising incoming messages so the team is notified.
- Discord: posting the summary of a new message and the site's button clicks to our internal notification channel.
- WhatsApp (Meta): delivering messages when you write to us on WhatsApp.
- Cloudflare: a cookieless visitor counter (Cloudflare Web Analytics); it does not identify you by your IP address or follow you across sites.
- Microsoft (Clarity): if you allowed it, storing and analysing click, scroll and session recordings.
These providers may keep their servers outside Turkey; the consent you give when sending the form (for Clarity, your permission in the cookie banner) also covers this transfer. When you message us on WhatsApp, the conversation is also subject to WhatsApp's own privacy terms. Unless the law requires it, we do not share your data with anyone else.
How long we keep it
We keep correspondence until your request is resolved and for as long as needed for the rights and obligations that may arise from it. If we start working together, statutory retention periods apply to contract and invoice records. You can ask us to delete your correspondence at any time.
Cookies
The site uses no advertising or tracking cookies. We count visitors with Cloudflare Web Analytics without cookies: nothing is stored in your browser and no individual profile is built. Only one cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) is stored in your browser to remember the language you picked; it is deleted when you close the browser. When you click one of the quote buttons on the site, which button it was is kept in your browser session (sessionStorage) so it can be sent along with your request if you submit the form; it is deleted when you close the tab and does not identify you.
Your rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to:
- Learn whether your personal data is processed and request information if it is.
- Learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used accordingly.
- Know the third parties in Turkey or abroad to whom your data is transferred.
- Ask for correction if the data is incomplete or inaccurate.
- Ask for the data to be erased or destroyed.
- Ask that corrections and erasures be notified to third parties who received the data.
- Object to a result against you that arises solely from automated analysis.
- Claim compensation if you suffer damage from unlawful processing.
How to apply
To use these rights, simply write to contact@torpilstudio.com. We reply free of charge within 30 days at the latest. If you find our reply insufficient, you have the right to complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board.
