Case study
An empty solar marketplace rebuilt around quote requests that need no sign-up
The result
- quote request, no sign-up
- 5 steps
- main and sub-categories, with descriptions
- 12 + 32
The problem
GES Store had opened as a marketplace for solar products, but the shop window was empty: no products and no requests. Asking for a quote meant signing up first, and the old listing page showed the buyer's phone number to everyone.
What we did
- We built the interface from scratch in light, airy colours; the products, companies and requests pages are rendered on the server, and filters live in a shareable address.
- We turned the quote request into five steps with no sign-up; the account is created after the request is sent.
- We made the buyer's phone number visible only to approved companies that send them an offer.
- Categories without products are not left empty: each type has an image, what to look for when choosing, and a button that opens a quote request for that type.
