Logo Design Prices: How Much Does a Logo Cost?
Published:
What a logo starts from with us
Logo design starts from $60 with us. That covers a logo from scratch: we prepare drafts in three different directions, and you get two revisions on the draft you choose. A logo is usually delivered in 3-5 days.
Extras such as a colour palette, a mascot, business cards or a full brand identity change the price; we send an exact quote after we talk through the scope.
Number of drafts and revisions
The first thing that sets the price is how many different ideas you get to see. Working on a single draft is cheaper but leaves no choice; seeing drafts in a few directions makes it easier to find the one that fits your brand.
Revisions matter too: ask at the start how many revisions the quote includes and how extra ones are charged.
Just a logo, or a brand identity?
A logo on its own is a mark and lettering. A brand identity adds a colour palette, typefaces and a short guide on how the logo is used on different backgrounds and sizes. For the investment advisory firm Alnair we prepared the logo and the brand identity together.
Business cards, letterheads and social media templates are separate items. For a law office we designed business cards alongside the logo.
Mascot
A mascot is a character drawing separate from the logo; if you want different poses and expressions, the work grows. In our own identity we designed the fuse mascot together with the logo and the colour system, and the mascot is also used on its own on our site and in our app.
Having an existing logo redrawn
If all you have is a low-resolution image, you may not need a new logo: the logo is redrawn as a vector and scales cleanly on signage and in print. That is less work than a new logo. We redrew the MEZON Logistics logo this way.
What you should receive
When you compare prices, look at the handover package too. At the very least you should get a vector file (SVG), an image with a transparent background (PNG) and the colour codes. We deliver logos as SVG and PNG.
We covered what to check when you have a logo designed in our post "8 Things to Check When You Have a Logo Designed".
When a cheap logo turns out expensive
A logo made from a ready template, or one that looks too much like another brand, can force you to redo your sign, business cards and website later. Make sure the logo is original and made with a typeface licensed for commercial use.
If you need a logo, write us a few lines about your brand and where the logo will be used; we will start with three drafts.
